High- and low-voltage distribution boxes are widely utilized across various power distribution and control systems, serving as core equipment for the allocation, protection, and monitoring of electrical energy. Low-voltage distribution boxes are typically in power distribution scenarios at the end-user side-such as residential complexes, commercial centers, office buildings, schools, hospitals, and small-scale industrial facilities. Their primary function is to distribute electrical energy from distribution transformers or low-voltage switchgear to individual circuits; furthermore, deployed through components such as circuit breakers and residual current devices, they provide protection and control for lighting, power outlets, air conditioning units, and small-scale equipment. Within building electrical systems, low-voltage distribution boxes are frequently employed for floor-level distribution, zone-specific allocation, and terminal control, characterized by their flexible installation and ease of maintenance.

 

High-voltage distribution boxes (or high-voltage switchgear), conversely, are primarily deployed in the upstream segments of power systems. They are commonly found in substations, industrial and mining enterprises, power generation plants, and large-scale infrastructure projects-including subway systems, airports, and data centers. Their principal role involves the distribution, control, and protection of electrical energy at voltage levels of 10kV and above, thereby undertaking the critical task of backbone transmission and distribution within the power grid. High-voltage distribution equipment is responsible not only for controlling the switching (on/off) of power lines but also for executing functions such as rapid fault clearance, grid switching, and system isolation, thereby ensuring the safe and stable operation of the entire power network. In industrial settings, high-voltage distribution boxes are frequently integrated with large-scale motors, transformers, and production line machinery to meet the demanding power requirements associated with heavy loads and continuous operation.
